The book is worthy reading, it contains some interesting material, but it is hard to read. It is is written in a hard-to-understand managers language, and more about data modeling and the process, than technical.
I recommend reading this as your first introduction to graphing databases or Neo4j, especially if you know SQL. It discusses the various types of graphing databases in the Appendix.
Repetitive and off-target sometimes, this book as others have noted is oriented totally toward neo4j.
